As part of its efforts to connect theoretical learning with practical application, the Iraqi University of Sciences / College of Engineering / Department of Civil Engineering organized a scientific trip to the Gaza Bridge, accompanied by the Dean of the College and a number of faculty members.

The students observed the project’s implementation stages on site, where they listened to a detailed explanation from the supervising engineers about excavation works, foundations, column casting, and the installation of concrete bridge segments, up to the final finishing works and the adopted safety standards.

The College Dean’s Office confirmed that such visits aim to enhance students’ practical skills and provide them with hands-on experience that contributes to preparing them effectively for the job market.

For their part, the students expressed the importance of this experience, which allowed them to learn about modern technologies in infrastructure projects and relate them to their academic coursework in a realistic and effective way.
