The President of the Iraqi University of Science Visits the University of Babylon and Signs a Joint Academic Cooperation Agreement
As part of efforts to strengthen scientific and academic cooperation between Iraqi universities, Professor Dr. Qasim Nayef Al-Mahyawi, President of the Iraqi University of Science, visited the University of Babylon, where he was received by Professor Dr. Amin Yasser, President of the University of Babylon.
The visit witnessed the signing of a joint academic cooperation agreement between the two universities. This agreement aims to broaden cooperation in scientific, academic, and research fields, and to facilitate the exchange of expertise among faculty members and researchers, thereby contributing to the development of the educational process and raising the standards of higher education.
The President of the Iraqi University of Science was accompanied during the visit by Mr. Abdul-Munim Khairi, Dean of the College of Fine Arts. The signing ceremony was also attended by the Vice President for Scientific Affairs and the Vice President for Administrative Affairs of the University of Babylon, along with a number of officials and academics from both universities.
The meeting included discussions on several issues of mutual interest, exploring ways to enhance cooperation in scientific research, organizing joint academic activities, and exchanging scientific expertise to achieve mutual benefit for both institutions. Both sides emphasized the importance of building effective academic partnerships that contribute to developing educational and research programs and enhance opportunities for scientific cooperation among Iraqi universities, thus serving the advancement of higher education and supporting academic development efforts in the country.
This agreement aligns with the Iraqi University of Science's strategy to expand its network of academic relationships with reputable universities and scientific institutions, which will positively impact the level of education, scientific research, and community service.
