The Iraqi University of Science Participates in the Symposium “Realistic Solutions to the Economic Crisis in Iraq” at the University of Basra
The Iraqi University of Science participated in the symposium entitled “Realistic Solutions to the Economic Crisis in Iraq,” held under the auspices of the Office of the Prime Minister, represented by the National Standing Committee for Community Awareness and Guidance, and hosted by the University of Basra.
The symposium was held under the supervision of the President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, and with the follow-up of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Professor Dr. Abdul Hussein Tawfiq Shibli, and in the presence of a number of academics, researchers, and specialists in economic and development affairs.
The Iraqi University of Science was represented at this event by an academic delegation headed by Professor Dr. Musa Al-Mousawi, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, who participated in the symposium discussions. These discussions addressed the most prominent economic challenges facing Iraq and ways to address them through realistic scientific perspectives based on academic studies and research, in addition to presenting a set of proposals and solutions that contribute to supporting economic development and enhancing financial stability. The participants emphasized the importance of integrating efforts between Iraqi universities and governmental and research institutions in addressing national economic issues, and leveraging academic expertise to provide solutions and proposals that serve the process of sustainable development.
The participation of the Iraqi University of Science stems from its commitment to strengthening its scientific and academic presence in national forums, and to actively contributing to supporting scientific and dialogue-based initiatives that serve society and state institutions.
