The Iraqi University of Science, College of Engineering, Department of Cybersecurity Engineering, organized a scientific visit to the Iraqi Ministry of Interior's Cybersecurity Directorate. A number of students from the department, accompanied by their professors, participated in the visit, which aimed to enhance the practical application of cybersecurity concepts and connect them with real-world applications within security institutions.

The visit aimed to familiarize students with cybersecurity operations, introduce them to the latest technologies used in protecting information systems, monitoring cyber threats, and responding to incidents. It also covered network security strategies and digital risk management.

The students received detailed presentations from specialists at the directorate about their work, the challenges facing cybersecurity, and the importance of developing qualified personnel capable of protecting digital infrastructure.

At the conclusion of the visit, the department head expressed her sincere gratitude to Brigadier General Dr. Hassan Hadi Ladheeth, Director of the Cybersecurity Directorate at the Ministry of Interior, for his warm welcome, cooperation, and ongoing support for scientific activities that contribute to preparing a generation of specialists in this vital field. The students affirmed that this visit contributed to enhancing their practical understanding of cybersecurity concepts and familiarizing them with real-world applications, thus supporting their academic journey and preparing them for the job market with high competence.
