The Continuing Education Department, in cooperation with the University Counseling Division, held an awareness seminar entitled:
“The Repercussions of Violent Extremist Behavior on Social Peace.”
The seminar was attended by the University President, Professor Dr. Qasim Nayef Al-Mahyawi, and featured presentations by:
• Dr. Majid Barisim – Director of the University Psychological Counseling Division
• Dr. Ahmed Abdullah – Dean of the Faculty of Arts
The seminar addressed the most prominent psychological and social effects of violent extremist behavior and its repercussions on societal stability and civil peace, emphasizing the importance of establishing a culture of moderation and dialogue within the university environment.
This event is part of the university's program aimed at enhancing intellectual awareness and instilling social responsibility in students, contributing to building a cohesive society based on the values of tolerance and moderation.
